Severe Storms, Flooding Accompany Rain

Severe weather in the Region tonight... The National Weather Service got a report from law enforcement of 1 3/4-inch (1.75) hail in Crown Point this afternoon [measured at Crown Point Police Dept], and a trained spotter report of 1/4-inch hail in Dyer this evening. Flash Flood Warning was issued for parts of Lake, Porter, Newton and Jasper Counties around 10:20 pm. Here's a link at our website for info from the National Weather Service:  http://www.indiana105.com/news/region-weather.html

Other storm reports to the National Weather Service today:
1-inch hail a mile north of Crown Point (from COCORAHS)
1-inch hail a mile east of Crown Point (trained spotter)
3/4 inch hail in Schneider this afternoon (report from the public)
Trained spotter says hail lasted about five minutes in Merrillville, including one-inch hail 345-350 pm
