The Northwest Indiana Major Crimes Task Force and Indiana State Fire Marshal are assisting in the investigation of a death in Cedar Lake. Published reports say authorities believe a 32-year-old man found dead after a house fire in the 147-hundred block of Cline Avenue Wednesday morning was the victim of apparent homicide. The cause of death was pending.
