August 20th is the first day of school for students of Tri-Creek School Corp. but parents of high school and middle school students will be going “back to school” sooner to find out about the student laptop program. Jay Blackman, Director of information and Educational Technologies at Tri-Creek says parents are required to attend informational meetings starting this week, before students will be issued their laptop computers. Parents who cannot attend need to contact Lowell High School. The first of the sessions for Lowell High School students is this Wednesday and parents are encouraged to register early as sessions fill up. The first of the middle school sessions (to be held in the shool's cafeteria) is scheduled fpr Monday, August 13th. Tri-Creek asks that only one parent or guardian per student or family attend these meetings. More information can be found at the Tri-Creek School Corp web site at http://www.tricreek.k12.in.us
