Police in Highland are investigating twelve overnight cases of criminal mischief in the Meadows Subdivision, the two-thousand block of Azalea, where vandals spray-painted mailboxes, garage doors and vehicles. Police say the graffiti is not gang-related. There were cases last month in the same area, and in the Munster subdivision adjacent to the Meadows. Anyone with information is asked to call Highland Police at 219-838-3184. Callers may ask their identity to be kept confidential. Police say late last month, two female juveniles were charged with criminal mischief for spray-painting incidents on the north end of town.
