A 24 year old Gary man accused of attacking a man in the bathroom of the East Chicago South Shore Train Station last month is now in custody at the Lake County Jail. The Times reports Jawaun Woods was recently transported to Lake County after being released from an Indianapolis hospital for injuries received in a stabbing incident there earlier this month. Published reports say Woods is charged with attempted murder while committing a robbery, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, and carjacking, all of which are felonies charges. The 28 year old Chicago man injured in the East Chicago incident has since been treated and released.
