Officials say Lake County Sheriffs Police responded to a crash involving three passenger vehicles shortly after 6-o'clock this morning.  We're told two people were taken to the hospital; no details were available on the extent of their injuries at this time.  The crash occurred on Merrillville Road, which was closed for a time this morning between US 30 and 93rd Avenue. Lake County Sheriffs Police Spokesperson Patti Van Til says the crash is still under investigation.
