13th Annual Talk to a Lawyer public service event of the Indiana State Bar and local bar associations.  Volunteer lawyers will provide free 10-15 minute consultations at 8 NW Indiana sites in Lake, Porter, Jasper, and Newton Counties on the Martin Luther King Holiday, Monday, January 21, 3013:

Portage Township Trustee's Office, 3484 Airport Rd., Portage, 8-4
Jasper County:
Rensselaer Public Library, 208 W. Susan St.,  1 to 7 .
Newton County: 
Morocco Community Library, 205 S. West St, 9:30 – 5:30
Persons who are unable to travel to the walk-in sites can speak to Indianapolis attorneys on a statewide hotline for both English and Spanish-speaking callers by calling 1.800.266.2581 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CST). (Calls will be answered in the order received and wait times are often long due to the volume of calls.)
