One person is dead after a three-vehicle crash this afternoon on I-65 in White County that shut down the interstate for several hours. Indiana State Police Lafayette Post reports the crash, involving three semis occurred on I-65 south, approximately five-miles west of Brookston. Authorities report traffic was slowed in the area due to cleanup of a previous crash, when a Freightliner struck the rear trailer of a semi, which in turn was pushed into the rear of another semi. State Police say the driver of the Freightliner, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin,  was pronounced dead at the scene, and investigation continues.
