DISNEY GRANTS MAN $8,000 AFTER RIDE MALFUNCTION FORCES HIM TO LISTEN TO IT'S A SMALL WORLD FOR 30 MINUTES

A disabled man was awarded $8,000 by Disneyland after the It's A Small World ride broke, stranding him for 30 minutes while the theme song played on a loop. Lawyer David Geffen says Jose Martinez was the only passenger not rescued when the ride broke down in 2009, and staffers failed to call the fire department to free him. The ride's familiar, and arguably irritating, song could not be turned off the entire time Martinez was stuck. Geffen says Martinez uses a wheelchair, suffers from panic attacks and high blood pressure, and needed to urinate for much of the time he was stranded on the popular ride in the Fantasyland area of the amusement park.

She's the youngest competitor ever on "Dancing with the Stars," but Disney star Zendaya is already ahead of the class. The 16-year-old actress, from Disney Channel's "Shake It Up," topped the leaderboard with partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy for the second week in a row.

Did Derrick pretty much copy one of his old numbers with Kellie Pickler?... didn't matter they are in second place... followed by Olympian Aly and Mark. Bottom of the board: Dorothy Hamil & Tristan MacManus 15/30; 36/60 and D.L. Hughley & Cheryl Week 2 16/30; 28/60

Josh Groban will perform on tonight’s “Dancing with the Stars” results show.

PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL'S HANDLER TAKES BLAME FOR FAULTY FORECAST

An Ohio prosecutor who has light-heartedly filed a criminal indictment against the famous Pennsylvania groundhog who fraudulently "predicted" an early spring said he may consider a pardon now that the animal's handler is taking the blame. That's right, Bill Deeley, president of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club's Inner Circle, told The Associated Press yesterday that the animal rightly predicted six more weeks of winter last month, but Deeley mistakenly announced an early spring because he failed to correctly interpret Phil's "groundhog-ese." "I'm the guy that did it; I'll be the fall guy. It's not Phil's fault," Deeley said. As a result, Butler County, Ohio prosecutor, Mike Gmoser also told the AP he's reconsidering the charges in light of the new evidence and may issue a full pardon. "Frankly, he is a cute little rascal, a cute little thing," Gmoser said, referring to Phil, not Deeley, his 63-year-old handler. "And if somebody is willing to step up to the plate and take the rap, I'm willing to listen."

The Senate voted 28-21 to pass the roadkill salvage bill. It has previously cleared the House, and now goes to Governor Steve Bullock, a Democrat, who has not yet indicated whether he will sign it.

Under the measure, law-enforcement officers would issue permits for the salvage of deer, elk, moose and antelope struck by vehicles in the state. Currently, road kill is either destroyed or left to rot.
