Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!

RUBEN STUDDARD TO COMPETE ON “BIGGEST LOSER”

Ruben Studdard, the 35-year-old "velvet teddy bear" who won "American Idol's" second season, will star in his second reality show, "The Biggest Loser," this October. The Los Angeles Times said says Studdard is the reality show's first celebrity competitor. According to US Weekly, the 15th season of "Biggest Loser" premieres Tuesday, October 8.

KYRA SEDGWICK CHOPS OFF FINGERTIP COOKING

Kyra Sedgwick is missing a fingertip, thanks to a cooking mishap on Saturday. Husband Kevin Bacon documented the bloody accident, posting photos of Sedgwick in the emergency room on WhoSay. “Kale isn’t always healthy…if you chop the end of your finger off,” Bacon wrote, alongside a pic of his wife clutching her bloodied left thumb. He followed that up later with a photo of Sedgwick’s bandaged finger with the caption: “My baby is fine. All good. Still can’t find the tip of that finger.”

SIGNS OF MIDDLE-AGED MELTDOWN NOW INCLUDE VISITS TO FESTIVALS

For men it used to involve a red Ferrari, for women, a nip and a tuck...but a new study has shown that when faced with modern day mid-life crisis, 40-somethings will head to festivals. In fact, a review of the way we handle our middle-aged meltdowns has shown we’re spending a lot less to feel young. According to new research, longing for a simpler life is now the most popular way of clinging to youth. A midlife crisis typically lasts between three and ten years in men - twice as long as women- and attending festivals is now one of the ways people try to cling on to their youth.

Not everyone is aware that Cher and Tom Cruise once had a romance, but the diva talked openly about it during an appearance Thursday night on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live...and perhaps gave a little bit too much information in the process. Cher and Cruise, who's 16 years younger than her, dated in the early '80s.

JESSICA SIMPSON GIVES BIRTH TO A SON

Jessica Simpson is a new mom after giving birth to a baby boy. The singer and her fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed Ace Knute, a little brother for their daughter Maxwell Drew, in Los Angeles yesterday. Her rep tells UsMagazine.com, “Ace Knute Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great. Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.” The boy’s middle name is a nod to his paternal grandfather, Knute Johnson.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY MOVIE RELEASE SET

Fifty Shades of Grey” has been given a US release date of August 1, 2014. EL James' novel from Kelly Marcel's script will have worldwide release dates confirmed shortly. The lead roles are yet to be cast, though Alexis Bledel, Mila Kunis, Ian Somerhalder and Ryan Gosling have been tipped for the roles of Ana Steele and Christian Grey, among others.

SANDRA BULLOCK BUMP

Sandra Bullock is sporting a bump on her forehead after accidentally running into a wall during a trip to Disneyland. The star recently joined her The Heat co-stars Melissa McCarthy and comedian Michael McDonald for a family day out at the California theme park, but she was left disoriented after enjoying a ride on the Space Mountain rollercoaster and smacked her head against a concrete wall.

A QUARTER OF CHICAGO'S WORKFORCE SHOWED UP LATE FOR WORK TUES

The Blackhawks last gasp victory in the Stanley Cup on Monday night left the city of Chicago waking up to one hell of a hangover the following morning.  Celebrations on the streets of Chicago well into the night gave way to a wave of sick calls, late starts and half days on Tuesday after the team scored two very late goals to beat the Boston Bruins at TD Garden 3-2 and clinch the National Hockey League's top tournament. One expert estimated that a quarter of the city's workforce turned up late and weren't that productive when they did finally show. “In Chicago, 25 percent of the workforce is coming in late,” CEO John Challenger of executive outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas, said. He predicted big losses for companies. 

PAULA DEEN APPEARS ON "TODAY"

Paula Deen appeared on "Today" yesterday...ended the interview in tears. Paula said if there's anyone out there that has never said something that they wish they could take back, they should throw a stone at her head.  She also said she isn't a racist and only used the N-word to refer to a black man who once held a gun to her head during a robbery

COUPLE ASK CUSTOMERS AT STARBUCKS TO VOTE FOR THE NAME OF THEIR SON

A Connecticut couple are letting customers at a Starbucks coffee shop choose the name of their baby. Twenty-five-year-old Jennifer James and 24-year-old Mark Dixon of New Haven say they’ve been struggling between two names for the boy they are expecting in September. They decided to put it to a vote and placed signs at the Starbucks on the New Haven Green, where they are regulars, asking people to vote for either the name Jackson or Logan. They come into the coffee shop almost every day, and know the baristas and some other customers by name.
