Went to pick up family this morning at the airport and coming back southbound on the tri-state, I noticed was stop and go traffic going northbound. If you're traveling northbound on the Tri-State 294 this weekend expect delays and backups from before Il. Route 171 (Archer Rd.) in the Willow Springs area to almost SR-34 (Ogden Avenue). The three left lanes were restricted. Only a left lane and right lane open with major road work. Careful too, if you do not have I-Pass, to make sure you are able to get over into the right lane, the cash only lanes. Also, there were flaggers in some areas (which I am not used to seeing on the toll road) be alert to slowing and braking vehicles--especially trucks--ahead of you. Finally, the Illinois State Police were enforcing the 45 mph speed limit through that work zone.
