Fatal Accident in Jasper County

Indiana State Police say a Miami, Florida, man was pronounced dead at the scene after the semi he was driving for unknown reasons went off the roadway, into a ditch and struck a tree along I-65 just south of the State Road 114 Rensselaer exit around 9:30 Thursday morning. The trailer was loaded with plastic film and can fruit and did not lose any of the load. Troopers say his pet dog was released to Jasper County Animal Control.
