A driver was too distracted to avoid slowing or stopping traffic ahead on the Borman Tuesday morning, and crashed into a van, loaded with plumbing pipes and equipment, ahead of him. The driver of the van was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver who caused the crash was cited for following too closely. Indiana State Police in Lowell remind drivers about the dangers of distracted driving and say distractions can take many forms--including texting, using a phone, eating, drinking, talking passengers, grooming, using a navigation system, and reading, including maps.
