Serious Crash on US 20; All Lanes Blocked

920am CDT UPDATE -- Porter County Sheriffs Police say the crash scene at US 20 near the Pines has been cleared.  Police say the crash involved one semi and three cars.  More information is being released later today.

735am  CDT -- Porter County Sheriffs Police are among multiple agencies responding to a multiple-vehicle crash with injuries and possibly involving two semis on US 20 in far northeast Porter County this morning.  Police say all lanes of US 20 are blocked between County Road 500-East and State Road 520 (the short connector highway between US 12 & 20).  The crash happened shortly before 7:30 this morning.

Indications are US 20 will be closed for a while. Police advise eastbound motorists can take County Road 375 East to US 12 as a detour, and westbound motorists may use LaPorte/Porter County Line Road north to US 12.
