Big Leads for GOP; Senate Race Tight

A new poll calls the Indiana U-S Senate race too close to call... The Howey/DePauw Indiana Battleground Poll shows Republican Richard Mourdock and Democrat Joe Donnelly in a statistical dead heat, Donnelly leading by two percentage points, 40-percent-to-38-percent, with a margin of error of plus or minus three-point-four percent. The poll finds other Republican candidates with big leads. In the race for Governor, Republican candidate Mike Pence has a double-digit lead over Democrat John Gregg... 47-percent of likely voters surveyed said they plan to vote for Pence, 34-percent for Gregg. In the race for President, Republican candidate Mitt Romney, leads Democrat Barack Obama in Indiana 52 to 40 percent.  The telephone survey of eight-hundred likely voters was conducted September 19th thru the 23rd.
