One hundred twenty-seven high school marching bands will take part in the Indiana State School Music Association's Regional Marching Festival Saturday, October 13 at four regional sites. Munster and Lowell will be performing at the Chesterton High School site. Knox, Portage, Lake Central, LaPorte and Chesterton are scheduled to perform at Lafayette Jefferson High School. The bands qualified by receiving a Gold Rating at one of the seven District sites September 29. Each band is entered in one of four classes according to school size. Admission is seven-dollars for adults and five-dollars for students and preschoolers. The Regional Festival will determine the eighty bands for the Semi-State Marching Festival on Saturday, October 27th, which will be held at four Central Indiana sites.
