A nearly 100-year-old time capsule will be opened October 20th. The capsule was inside the corner stone of the St. Mary's Catholic School in East Chicago. The church which was built in 1913 was demolished this past summer. The capsule will be opened at an alumni dinner according to a report on nwitimes.com. The ceremony will open with mass held at 5pm at the St. Mary Church in East Chicago with the dinner beginning at 630pm at the St Mary Church at 525 North Lafayette Street in Griffith.
