Candidate John Gregg might be a Democrat, but he might have taken a cue from Mitt Romney in the first Presidential debate shellacking Barak Obama, as Gregg reportedly, relentlessly pursued his Republican opponent, Mike Pence in the the state's first gubernatorial debate Wednesday. According to nwi-dot-com, Gregg tore away at the six-term congressman for supporting policies that have allegedly cost jobs and seek to divide state residents on social issues. Meanwhile, Pence's responses were reportedly "luke warm" referring several times to his "Roadmap for Indiana" campaign theme saying he believes the Hoosier state is close to an era of growth and opportunity and using his roadmap, can take Indiana from good to great. Gregg criticized his roadmap to create jobs telling Pence, "as a free trader, you have voted and decimated the steel industry," according to the article. Meanwhile, the third member of the debate, Libertarian Rupert Boneham, focused on needing to reform Indiana's criminal sentencing policies, improve mental health services for children and get rid of high-stakes standardized testing in Indiana schools. Regardless of what the debate outcome will be, all three men will meet again at 6pm local time this Wednesday for the next scheduled debate in South Bend.
