State health officials say Indiana now has thirty-five confirmed cases of fungal meningitis linked to back pain injections of a recalled steroid medication. The Indiana Department of Health also says there have been two deaths in the state. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says the death toll from the national meningitis outbreak has grown to twenty, and the number of people infected after receiving steroid injections has grown to 257 across 16 states.
