A local dog training club is anticipating officially starting a new program in January that matches dogs with veterans. Trainer Colleen Sargent, with the Dunes iDog Training Club in Hebron, says they are working with a variety of shelters and any rescue groups with dogs, to match dogs with veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and training those veterans to teach the dogs. Sargent says they need at least eight veterans, and that there is no cost to the veteran for the training.
