ISP Working to Reduce Road Fatalities

Indiana State Police are putting an increased emphasis on reducing injuries and fatalities on Hoosier roadways. State Police report an enforcement program has been underway, cracking down on speeders, those who follow too closely, unsafe lane movement, and lane restrictions, using marked and unmarked vehicles, as well as high performance Mustangs, state police aircraft, and vehicles that look like INDOT work trucks. During their October traffic blitz, the Lowell Post reports three troopers efforts resulted in over 14-hundred citations, with 720 warnings.
