Credit Union Robbery Reported in La Porte

In the city of LaPorte, police say they are investigating a robbery at a Northern Indiana Federal Credit Union in the 600 block of State Street the day before Thanksgiving. Here is the news release posted at the police department's Facebook page:

On Wednesday November 21, 2012, the La Porte Police Department responded to a robbery at the Northern Indiana Federal Credit Union at 606 State St. La Porte, IN. The suspect, a W/M wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, displayed a note to a teller declaring the robbery, and quickly fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money.

The La Porte Police are working with the Northern Indiana Federal Credit Union as well as other agencies to bring this case to a conclusion. Anyone with information pertaining to the case is asked to contact Det. Jim Ferguson at 219-362-9446 X207.
