Teen Dies After St. John Crash

Lake County Sheriffs Police say a Lake County teenager died early this morning from injuries received in a crash involving a pedestrian and an automobile at 85th and Parrish Avenues in St. John shortly after 5:30 last night. A news release today says the pedestrian, identified as a 15-year-old St. John boy, was taken to a Dyer hospital with critical injuries, then flown to a Chicago hospital, where he passed away at 2:30 am. Police say there were no citations issued at the scene and the accident is still under investigation.
