The latest data from the Centers for Disease Control show Indiana among the 39 states reporting minimal flu activity right now... but the C-D-C is warning this flu season could be a rough one. ABC News reports it's the earliest arrival of the flu season in nearly a decade. Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Dr. Thomas Frieden says cases are particularly on the rise in the south. "The predominant organism is H3N2", he says, a severe strain. The CDC also says this year's flu vaccine is a "great match" for it. Five states were experiencing high influenza-like-illness activity levels, the CDC says, those being Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.
