Lake Station Police have confirmed an armed robbery took place this afternoon. Police say the incident occurred at 1:30 this afternoon on 36th Avenue, and no further information is available at this time. River Forest Schools report they implemented a precautionary lock down shortly after 1:30, and that the lock down was lifted just before three this afternoon.
