Two men who reportedly broke into a Lake Station home this afternoon remain at-large after several police agencies conducted sweeps of the woods adjacent to the home. The Times reports the two men, dressed all in black, allegedly stole a loaded shotgun, cash, and prescription pills from the residence, located in the first block of east 36th Avenue, around 1:30 this afternoon. Published reports say the homeowner was treated at the scene for a minor injury, and that two other people in the home at the time were unharmed. The Times reports, as a result of the robbery, nearby River Forest Schools were put on lock down, which was lifted about an hour and a half later.
