Hobart Marine Corps League Ceremony Tonight

Today is the final Friday of December, and the Hobart Marine Corps League “Howlin' Mad" Detachment 93 will read the names of fallen soldiers for this month as they have on the last Friday of the month for more than three years. The service starts at 5-o'clock this evening, with the names of the eleven fallen soldiers, the lowest number of military casualties read since December 30th, 2011.  The ceremony is at the Hobart Doughboy statue at 7th and Main, and the public is invited.   “Doughboy” was a term used to describe U-S infantrymen of the American Expeditionary Force during World War One.
