First District Congressman Pete Visclosky plans to hold twenty-one town forums around the First District in about a week's time, starting with five scheduled today (Thursday Jan 10 13) in Hebron, Lowell, Griffith, Hammond and Whiting.
In addition to locations throughout Lake and Porter Counties, Visclosky has scheduled Town Forums in areas of LaPorte County that joined the First Congressional District this month in the new district map.
As in previous years, local students will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and introduce Visclosky to their communities. Each student will give a brief speech on the history and economy of the First Congressional District to welcome Visclosky.
