
(Daniel Wright, Marcus Sharod Harris/Photos from Schererville Police] Authorities say two Chicago men –who are in custody in La Porte County – have been charged with an armed robbery in Lake County at the T Mobile Cellular on US 41 in Schererville last month. Schererville Police say a customer and five employees were ordered to the back of the store and held at gunpoint while one of the suspects filled a large duffel bag with cellular phones. Police say the female customer was kicked by one of the men while she was lying on the floor. Police allege both were involved in a similar incident in LaPorte, where they were arrested. They've also been charged in Addison, Illinois, in an armed robbery of a Sprint cellular store, and are believed to have been involved in several similar incidents through Indiana and Illinois. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Schererville Police.

The Schererville Police Department charged two Chicago men in connection with the January 28, 2013 Armed Robbery of T Mobile Cellular; 1150 US Hwy 41. Marcus Sharod Harris, 19 of the 2600 block of E. 75th Street in Chicago and Daniel T. Wright, 27 of the 2600 block of E. 73rd Street in Chicago were each charged through Lake Superior Court with six counts of Armed Robbery Class B Felony and six counts of Criminal Confinement Class B Felony. Both men are in custody at Laporte County Jail for similar charges.
On January 28, 2013 Harris and Wright parked their vehicle in the back of the store and walked around the building and entered through the front door. Harris and Wright locked the front door then ordered one customer and five employees to the back of the store at gunpoint. Harris held the customer and employees at gunpoint while Wright filled a large duffel bag with cellular phones from the storage cage. Harris kicked the female customer at one point during the robbery while she layed on the floor. Harris then took cash from the safe and the two exited through the rear door of the store.
Harris and Wright were involved in a similar incident in Laporte, IN early in February and were taken into custody after fleeing from Police there. Detectives interviewed Harris and Wright at the Laporte County Jail where both admitted their full involvement in the Schererville incident. Harris and Wright were also charged in Addison, IL for the recent Armed Robbery of a Sprint cellular store. Harris and Wright are believed to have involvement in several similar incidents throughout Indiana and Illinois.
