La Porte to Host Small Business Summit

Downtown La Porte is hosting a big event for small business -- the 2013 Small Business Summit, meant to jumpstart entrepreneurship in the downtown area. Tiffany Bley, Downtown Director, City of La Porte, the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce, says it's free, lunch will be provided, and geared toward current and prospective business owners unaware of the resources available in La Porte County.  Bley says the La Porte Urban Enterprise Association will also be there to talk about a new grant program that's available, and the summit will feature guided tours of some of downtown La Porte's available properties. You do need to RSVP. The event is Wednesday March 20th at Cummings Lodge in Soldiers Memorial Park in La Porte. Hear more at our Region Newsmakers interview with Tiffany Bley here at our website.
