In 2006, an otherwise healthy 53-year-old Ezekiel C. Mobley Jr. underwent routine surgery to remove his infected appendix. But the Los Angeles native's hopes of getting back to hosting Pittsburgh's first Spanish-speaking television show went down the drain when he didn't even make it out of the hospital alive.
