At this hour the outbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway remain closed between the Chicago Skyway and 95th St. due to an earlier crash involving a semi and a school bus carrying special needs adults.
Published reports say at around 3:15pm CDT a semi traveling outbound on the Dan Ryan near 95th St. reportedly lost its trailer which then slammed into the bus. A spokesperson for the Chicago Fire Department reports no serious injuries were involved and that 37 of the buses 38 special-needs passengers were transported to area hospitals for medical evaluation. Reportedly, an EMS Plan 1 was immediately put into place involving an initial response with five ambulances.

The semi was hauling a load of paper products which, as seen in the top photo, spread all across the expressway. As of 5:35pm CDT All southbound lanes of the expressway remain closed. According to Fire Media Affairs traffic is being rerouted off at 87th St. and 95th St.
