A Michigan City man was found guilty on Thursday of assisting in the robbery of the Dunes Inn Hotel back in February. The LaPorte County Prosecutor's Office reports the trial of Demarcus Sharp began on Monday and lasted until Thursday evening. The jury deliberated a little over three-hours before finding him guilty of felony aiding, inducing or causing a robbery. The Prosecutor's Office reports Angela Sheeler, who has already entered a guilty plea for her role in the robbery, testified against Sharp. Sharp faces up to eight-years in prison and is scheduled for sentencing on August 28th, with Sheeler scheduled to be sentenced this fall.
