The Chicago District Council of Ironworkers is hosting the 2012 Apprenticeship Competition this Saturday in lake County Indiana. The event, which is open to the public, starts at 10 am at the Ironworkers Local 395 (three-ninety-five) Apprenticeship School in Lake Station and it'll be the first time in a while that the Chicago-based council will be holding the competition in northwest Indiana.  The event will bring together eleven different local unions, each with two competitors, and featuring eight different categories, from welding and burning to written questions and rod tying.
