Hammond Man in Olympic Relay

A 38-year-old Hammond man is one of eight-thousand people chosen to carry the Olympic Torch for the relay leading up to the Summer Games in London. His part of the run happens today in London. Angel Alvarez was chosen by his employer, ArcelorMittal, after company officials learned Alvarez donated a kidney two years ago to a fellow employee. ArcelorMittal is a corporate sponsor of the 2012 games.
