Fatal Accident Near Lowell

Lake County Sheriffs Police were investigating a three vehicle crash that claimed the life of a four-year-old boy Friday night near Lowell. Police say it appears a Dodge caravan going westbound on 181^st avenue between Holtz Road and Hendricks Street crossed the center line and struck a box truck head on. Police say the minivan driver's son died, and the man and his two-year-old son were taken to a local hospital A second minivan struck the rear of the box truck. The driver of the box truck had to be extricated, and he along with four people in the other van, including two children, were also transported.
