3 Injured in Flash Fire at BP

Officials say three contract workers were injured from a brief flash fire at a unit undergoing planned maintenance at the BP Whiting Refinery about 945 pm Tuesday. BP Spokesman Brad Etlin says three refinery contractors were transferred to local hospitals, two for burns and one for smoke inhalation, and all three were reported to be in stable condition.  "Our thoughts are with our friends and co-workers as they recover from the incident," said a statement from BP.
