Valparaiso University has big plans for the next couple of decades, and officials unveiled them last night.

The 20-year master plan includes using the former Porter hospital site for athletic facilities, a parking garage next to the Harre Union, and, at some point, closing part of LaPorte Avenue. There's also a desire to begin expanding the campus toward downtown Valparaiso, as opposed to away from it, where development has trended to the east in the recent past.
