Region history buffs and railroad enthusiasts are converging in Northwest Indiana today and tomorrow for the Erie Lackawanna Historical Society's 2012 Convention. The group, with over 18-hundred members, usually meets in places like New York , Pennsylvania and Ohio, and for the first time, their annual convention is in the Region at the Porter County Expo Center. Convention Chairman John Schnurlein says the public is invited.  Convention hours are 10 to 7 Friday and 10 to 4 Saturday. Admission is 20-dollars.
