Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson is reminding Hoosiers that Tuesday, October 9 –one week from today -- is the deadline to register to vote in the November 6 General Election... and there's a holiday between now and then. Hoosiers can visit www.IndianaVoters.com , their local county clerk’s office or any Bureau of Motor Vehicles license branch. Voters should note that Monday, October 8 is Columbus Day and many government offices may be closed. Lawson also encourages military families remind those serving overseas to register and request an absentee ballot. And, Hoosiers can also verify their polling location at indianavoters.com .
