The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana will be holding their 10^th Annual Hope's Harvest 5K Walk/Run for Hunger, Saturday, October 20^th at the Lake County fairgrounds in Crown Point.  But, Megan Sikes, Communication/Advocacy Manager of the Food Bank says you can help out this Wednesday without lacing up your walking or running shoes as area MacDonald's restaurants will hold a fund raiser between 5pm and 7pm.  During that time, a portion of all sales will go toward the event.  Sikes says McDonald's is not only a Grand Harvest sponsor of the event, but their employees also participate as a team with last year's team raising over four-thousand dollars to benefit local food pantries and soup kitchens. She says the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana in Gary supplies food to over 100 pantries and soup kitchens in Lake and Porter Counties.
