Lake County Treasurer John Petalas says property taxpayers have a variety of options to pay their bill – including a variety of local banks, if you don't have any questions or problems with the bill. Bills may also be paid at the main Lake County Treasurers office at the Lake County Government Complex, and the satellite offices in Gary and Hammond. Petalas notes Treasurers offices are not allowed to accept credit card payments, but you can pay by credit card online, however the credit card company charges a fee. There is also an online “e-check” option. Officials say bills are due November 13^th, 2012.
