An event for you to learn more about animal rescue groups, pet vendors of all kinds, as well as dressing your pets up in their best Halloween costume, takes place this weekend. The Lake County Sheriff's Animal Control Adoption Agent Yvonne Scott says the 2^nd annual Pet Oktoberfest takes place Saturday, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, inside the Industrial Building, from 9am to 4pm, with all proceeds to go toward medical care and cat cages at the shelter. Scott says adoption information will also be made available, and if you cannot attend but would still like to donate, she says to contact the Lake County Sheriff's Animal Adoption and Control Center or send a check by mail to 3011 West 93^rd Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana, 46307.
