ADAM LEVINE CATCHING HEAT FOR SAYING "I HATE THIS COUNTRY"

As host Carson Daly stretched out the moment before announcing that contestants Judith Hill — who had been a coach and fan favorite — and Sarah Simmons had received the lowest number of audience votes, Levine could be heard declaring, “I hate this country.” In a statement, Adam says, "I obviously love my country very much and my comments last night were made purely out of frustration."

Wrestling might be back at the Olympics after all.

The sport will be one of three finalists—along with squash and a combined bid from baseball and softball—vying for the last open spot in the 2020 Games, reports USA Today. The International Olympic Committee, which outraged people three months ago by declaring that the ancient sport was being ditched in 2020, will make the final decision in September. Yesterday, it picked the three finalists after eliminating karate, roller sports, sport climbing, wakeboarding, and the Chinese martial art known as wushu.

EBAY NIXES AUCTION FOR SPOT IN HEAVEN AFTER HUNDREDS BID

There are some things that are never for sale, not even on eBay. A place in heaven is among them. A New Jersey man posted such a listing as a joke, he says, but was inundated with bids that reached $100,000 before the listing was pulled by the online auction giant. "I didn't think anyone would take it seriously," Ari Mandel, who put up the listing, told NBC News. "It's gotten way more attention than I expected. I really didn't expect it to blow up and go crazy the way it did."

PAULA DEEN MUSEUM IN THE WORKS

Cork, Ireland, already has the butter museum. But Albany, Ga., might soon have the next-best thing: The Paula Deen Museum. The Albany Herald reported that Paula’s museum would be housed in her childhood home. The venture has been led by B.J. Fletcher, an Albany businesswoman, and Deen’s former husband, Jimmy Deen. “It just takes my breath away that folks back in Albany would consider doing something like this,” Deen told The Herald. “I’m just trying to wrap my head around this incredible honor. I would want something like this to be a symbol of hope for people looking to make their lives better.”
