Tonight the Olympic games officially kick off in London with the Opening Ceremony! Will you be watching? (I'll be up at the Pierogi Fest!) I LOVE the Olympics and cannot wait to watch swimming and gymnastics this year!
I can remember my first love of the Olympics was the Tanya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan battle. (literally) I wanted to be an Olympic skater so badly after the 94 games! Too bad skating was a little too expensive for my dad!
In '96 it was Atlanta. We got a chance to design an Olympic logo and name the mascot for the games in my Girl Scouts troop and I thought it was the coolest! After '96 my focus shifted to being a gymnast! (Too bad I was slightly over the age and weight of most athletes!)
What will London 2012 bring? I cannot wait to find out! Maybe I could be a table tennis star? No a beach volleyball player?... Or maybe a....?

What do you think is the biggest turn off in the opposite sex? A new list is out and near the top of the list is beards! I have to say when Rob let's his "playoff beard" get to this length it is a HUGE turnoff! (I mean sometimes he looses food in it!) However, I think a nicely trimmed beard works! What about you? What would you put on the list? Here are some other things making the Top 5:
Tattoos on women are the biggest turn-off for men.
Bad Breath came in second for both sexes.
Smoking also ranked high with both genders.

Did you hear the latest rumor in who could be your next American Idol judge? None other than Mr. Brad Paisley! (Check out more here!) Do you think he'd make a good judge? (He is really close with Idol Alum Carrie Underwood and has had Scotty McCreery on tour)
Rumors are swirling Kate Gosselin could be heading back to your small screen. She is said to be shopping around a reality dating show to different networks! (So far no takers!) Would you watch her show? (More info here)

What a great weekend!!! How was yours? Had a chance to play some much needed volleyball on Friday night and boy was it perfect weather! Plus, I found out my fiance is alive and back from Vegas in one piece, just minus a phone! (That's why drinking and pools don't mix!)
On top of that, Saturday morning I went and finally got my wedding dress!!! It's such a relief to finally get it over with, so I can move on to the million other things I have left to do before June! (Wish I could post a pic, but don't want Rob to accidentally see!)
I'm not sure if it was the perfect dress, but it made my mom tear up so I had to go with it! I figured I was never gunna find an attachment to a dress, so why not go with the one my mom loved! That of course after 30 minutes of standing in the dress debating the price tag! ( I know it sounds bad, but I was just honestly tired of looking!) I'm not a dress person and am more concerned about having fun at the reception!! Oh well, I'm sure it will be fine! (Does that make me weird!?!)
If my weekend couldn't get any better, Sunday I got to spend the day with you! Thank you for coming out to the Texaco Country Showdown! It's always interesting to see how different stations do the showdown and to watch the amazing talent! Congrats to all our contestants, I don't know how you do it! (I myself have no musical talent!) Also, I had a chance to head over to the grandstand for the Hot Chelle Rae concert... my ears are still ringing from the screams! Parents, bless you for taking your kids! It was a fun show, but I did feel awfully old in the pit jumping up and down!!!
Anyway, hope your weekend was just as great! Let's make this week even better!!!
Did you get a chance to check out The Bachelorette last night? Looks like Jef had what it took to win Emily's heart... do you think it's true love? Check out their latest interview as an engaged couple above. I still think Emily really loved Arie, but knew Jef was a safer bet for her daughter! One things for sure, could those proposals get anymore cheesy?
Have you heard of this new dating show on CBS? I bring it up because it has a local connection, bachelor Dennis Trelinski Jr. of Munster was selected to be on the new series. Part of the show was actually filmed at his home in Munster! Look for 3 to debut on CBS Thursday! Check out more here.
