Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!

From last night's Golden Globe Awards. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the show. Big winners included 12 Years As A Slave for best Drama and American Hustle for Best Musical or Comedy. The beloved, departed AMC series "Breaking Bad," meanwhile, topped the television categories, winning Best TV Series, Drama and Best Actor (Bryan Cranston). (I loved how everyone had to squeeze around tables to get to stage.)

The 2014 Golden Globes Awards red carpet was a bit of a wash -- a burst pipe flooded a large section of the carpet shortly before celebrities began to arrive. Somewhere between one-fifth and one-third of the carpet was affected by the leak, leaving a messy puddle in the middle of the luxurious path. Beverly Hills firemen were required to vacuum up the water, while press set up in the area were moved elsewhere.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will join Bruno Mars onstage for the Super Bowl halftime show next month, the NFL announced Saturday. Mars invited the legendary rock group to collaborate with him during the televised performance, which will be broadcast live on Feb. 2 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., according to a press release. There's no word on which songs the acts will perform.

According to a new list compiled by Paul Fraser Collectibles -- a British firm that specializes in high-end items like stamps, vintage wine and celebrity memorabilia -- Paul McCartney’s autograph is more valuable than any other entertainer who's still with us. McCartney ranks third overall on the U.K. company's latest annual index of the "Top 10 Most Valuable Living Autographs," with a signature that's worth an average of $3,275.  The tally cites Sir Paul's huge fan base as a major reason why his "John Hancock" is so pricey, and reports that its value has increased 20.6 percent annually since 2000. Next on the list is Bob Dylan, with an autograph worth just under $3,220, because he's so reclusive and his signature is rare.

There is a new trend growing where gourmet restaurants are opening for your pets! Would you ever take your cat or dog to one? I don't even eat fancy meals, so the day Jager starts eating better than me there will be a problem! Jager is more of a pickles, tomatoes, and popsicles kind of dog! What weird foods does your pet like to eat? Let us know on Facebook!

Annie's Blog

2013 Was The Year Of Getting Stuff Done! Thank You To Everyone One Of You Who Played A Part In Every Life Changing Moment, No Matter How Small! I'm Now Declaring 2014 The Year Of Rejuvenation!

Some of my highlights of 2013: Buying a house, marrying my best friend, realizing one of my lifelong goals of traveling out of the country, throwing out the first pitch @Railcats game, and winning the IBA for Personality of the Year for being your morning show host! (Thank you!)

Goals for 2014: Read a new book, enjoy hiking more often with Jager, experience Mardi Gras in New Orleans, be a more thoughtful person, complete our wedding scrapbook, visit another new country, and find an organization to volunteer more of my time.
