There is this campaign going around on Facebook this month that has you listing what you are thankful for everyday as we count down to Thanksgiving. I know I am a little late, but I thought we'd start this morning! Today I am thankful for all those who fought for me to have the right to vote in yesterday's election. I don't care what side of the political spectrum you land on... if you voted, thank you.
Yesterday, was the first time I voted in person and I got pretty emotional. Could you imagine someone telling you you couldn't vote because of the color of your skin or because you were female? This country is great because we all have a voice. Yes, some voices may be heard louder then others... but on election day, we are all equal.
Now you may call me naive, but that in itself is reason to be thankful.
The CMAs were last night and it was all about the performances!!! Faith Hill's was my favorite!!!
Yes, I am totally biased!!! So excited to see Faith back with a song that she is totally behind! (Was she wearing braces?) What was your favorite? Let us know on Facebook!
Anyway here's a quick breakdown:

Best Acceptance Speech: Blake Shelton For Song Of The Year
“I lost my brother in a car wreck when I was 14 years old," Blake says. "And later in life, when I decided I wanted to be a country singer, my dad always told me, ‘Son, you should write a song about your brother.’ And I lost my dad in January, and it’s so amazing to me that tonight, even after he’s gone, he’s still right. I just needed the right person to write this song with, and the right person to sing it.”
Best Acceptance Speech Part II: LBT's Karen Fairchild on Group Of The Year
“We’re living proof that if you work really really hard and you chase your dream, all the good stuff happens, and it follows you. Nashville, you’ve made us your band. Thank you for letting us do this…Thank you, Capitol Records and Jesus, and our mommas and daddies and Jesus, and our babies and Jesus.”
