Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!

Today we've gotten word of the loss of one of the greatest inventors in the 20th Century, Eugene J. Polley. While his name might not be all that familiar, I would bet you use one of his inventions almost everyday. He is the man who created the first wireless remote. Although, the technology has changed his concept has remained the same for over 60 years!
I hate when I cannot find the remote and have to walk up to the TV to change the channel! How did we survive without a remote? I don't know if I could even watch TV without it! (Yes, I'm lazy!) I'd even go as far to say as this was one of the greatest inventions in the past 100 years! What other items would you put on the list? Let's talk about it on Facebook!
