VALERIE HARPER JOINS DWTS DESPITE TERMINAL BRAIN CANCER
Valerie Harper is reportedly going “Dancing with the Stars.” The actress, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, will compete on the show’s new season and has already been practicing with pro partner Tristan MacManus, according to TMZ. When Harper went public with her cancer fight back in March, she said that doctors had given her three months to live.
Nissan announced Tuesday that the company will aim to have driverless cars on the market by 2020. Work has already begun in Japan to build the autonomous driving vehicles, and the automaker's goal is to start testing by the end of 2014. The company delved into research efforts with universities like Stanford, Carnegie Mellon and Oxford, and is also looking into collaborating with start-ups.

Minna Huotilainen said a baby is not a blank slate when it enters the world and has already learned how his or her family members speak before being born. She believes the research shows how well a baby's brain adapts to sounds at a very early stage in its life.
