Eric Paslay has enjoyed success as a songwriter, but now he's out on his own.
The Texan released his self-titled debut album which contains the hit "Friday Night."

Shania Twain has announced a new round of dates for her Shania: Still the One show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
She'll return to the Colosseum May 20 with more concerts scheduled through July 26.

Carrie Underwood is headlining one of the biggest Mardi Gras events in New Orleans next month.
The Krewe of Endymion has announced Carrie will perform at their Extravaganza as part of the Mardi Gras festivities kicking off March 1.
More celebrities will join the Krewe of Endymion's Extravaganza and parade floats.
Dierks Bentley documents life's ups and downs
A film documenting the ups and downs following the death of Dierks Bentley's father through the birth of his first son - the story that inspired his upcoming seventh studio album "Riser," will be out later this month.
"Dierks Bentley" Riser" can be previewed in a special edit on CMT on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. eastern.
The full length will premiere the same day on Palladia at 9 p.m. eastern.
"Riser,"will be released on Feb. 25.

The singer has dated a string of famous suitors including rocker John Mayer, One Direction star Harry Styles, and Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Recent reports suggested Swift has her hooks into another star partner, with names including singer Sheeran and actor/rocker Leto at the top of the list, but she has now spoken out to clear up the speculation and insist she is not in a new romance. Swift tells British magazine Event, "I am single. To be honest, being single is one of the best things about my life right now. And whatever people think, I actually love it. Nickel Creek reunites for tour, CD
Nickel Creek is regrouping for the first time in six years and launching a spring tour, it was announced Monday.
This is the prelude to a new disc as well.
Chris Thile (mandolin/vocals), Sara Watkins (fiddle/vocals) and Sean Watkins (guitar/vocals) officially reunite for the first time since its 2007 self-described "indefinite hiatus" with a U.S. tour this spring and summer, with shows in Nashville, New York, Boston, Washington, Chicago, and Oakland and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival .

Miranda Lambert's New Single "Automatic" Hits The Airwaves Wednesday
Miranda Lambert's new single, "Automatic," is hitting the airwaves this Wednesday.
Miranda co-wrote the autobiographical song about her childhood in Texas.
The lyrics include a nod to her days of recording the country countdown show on her cassette recorder, going to Dallas to buy an Easter dress, and learning to drive the '55 Chevy her dad bought for her. Miranda says of "Automatic,"
"It’s about slowing down, taking a breath and remembering what it’s like to live life a little more simply.
It’s not about going back, but reminiscing about what it was like to hang laundry on the line and wait for it to dry."
She adds, "The song brings back good memories and it reminds me to take a deep breath and to remember that getting there is half the fun."

Jim Cantore, the Weather Channel's severe weather expert, was reporting on the winter weather on the College of Charleston campus
when a man ran into his shot while screaming at the top of his lungs.
Cantore didn't miss a beat and continued to explain the weather phenomenon while raising his knee to the intruder's groin.
